Did you Check?

Is the unit plugged in?

Is the outlet live?
Check the circuit breaker, often the breaker has tripped and is not visably apparent. Switch it completely off, then back on to be sure. Also check for GFI protection circuits on outlets in bathrooms and kitchens, as these can disable another outlet in the area.

Washer:

Use a zippered mesh bag for small items like socks. We routinely remove these items from water pumps. Underwires from bras are also problematic.

Check your inlet hoses for rust and their filter screens for debris obstructing water flow. This is a common problem due to the sandy soil of South New Jersey.

Dryer:

Keep your lint filter clean and in place during use. Routinely check the amount of air at the exhaust of the venting outside the house,

Range:

Dishwasher:

Never use hand washing soap in an automatic dishwasher, we recommend powdered detergent, and a minimum incoming water temperature of 120 degrees F.

Clean a dirty dishwasher with Tang! Yes, TANG, the orange drink mix the astronuats (used to?) drink is high in acid content (vitamin C) and will clean and refresh a nasty looking plastic tub. With the dishwasher empty (NO GLASS!) fill your normal detergent cups and run through a normal cycle, That's it.

Refrigerator:

Vaccum the coils at the bottom or back of your unit every six months. Keep the gaskets around the doors clean. Sticky spills will glue the gasket to the cabinet and tear upon opening, causing condensation problems in the unit.
